UNDER DARK SKIES, by ROBERT CAMERON ROGERS Poet's Biography First Line: Under the dark skies across the amber sands Last Line: Under dark skies. Subject(s): Music & Musicians | ||||||||
UNDER the dark skies across the amber sands I watched the tide fling in its silver bands, Marked how it swung between the marshalled dunes, To creep at last unheeded to lagoons Beyond the surf where all the cadence dies, Under dark skies. Mayhap, had you been there, we should have found Among your reeds dim pools of rippling sound, And heard the music from the tumult glide On shining feet upon that secret tide, And traced its echo where the dream-mists rise Under dark skies. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...LINER NOTES TO AN IMAGINARY PLAYLIST by TERRANCE HAYES VARIATIONS: 13 by CONRAD AIKEN BELIEVE, BELIEVE by BOB KAUFMAN ROUND ABOUT MIDNIGHT by BOB KAUFMAN MUSIC by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES THE POWER OF MUSIC by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES THE ROSARY by ROBERT CAMERON ROGERS A HEALTH AT THE FORD by ROBERT CAMERON ROGERS A OUTRANCE (FRANCE, SEVENTEENTH CENTURY) by ROBERT CAMERON ROGERS |
