WHEN SPRING IS CALLING, by M. RICHARDSON SAMS First Line: When I hear the call of spring Last Line: To cheer the thoughts and hearts of men. Subject(s): Spring | ||||||||
When I hear the call of spring Then my heart begins to sing. The birds are singing far and near, Each morning there are more to hear. They are coming more and more From the south's wide-open door; Some started in broad daylight And some came flying through the night. Now you can look up in the sky And see them flying swiftly by; They are coming back again To cheer the thoughts and hearts of men. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING LEMONADE by TONY HOAGLAND A SPRING SONG by LYMAN WHITNEY ALLEN SPRING'S RETURN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD SPRING FLOODS by MAURICE BARING SPRING IN WINTER by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES SPRING ON THE PRAIRIE by HERBERT BATES THE FARMER'S BOY: SPRING by ROBERT BLOOMFIELD OUR LORD AND OUR LADY by HILAIRE BELLOC |
