TO A FRIEND, by SATRA. ANNA NAOMI First Line: Spring like a maiden sweet and gay Last Line: No need ever more to sigh. Subject(s): Friendship | ||||||||
Spring like a maiden sweet and gay, Diffusing charm and light, Speeds swiftly on the wings of joy, Shutting out the night. A ray of hope is shining through Like a meteor in the sky; It brings a message, dear, to you, From the One on high. Better days will soon be here, The sun will shine anew. The future, dear, is full of cheer And all good things for you. Then laugh and sing againonce more, As in the days gone by; There's happiness for you in store; No need ever more to sigh. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...YOU & I BELONG IN THIS KITCHEN by JUAN FELIPE HERRERA JASON THE REAL by TONY HOAGLAND NO RESURRECTION by ROBINSON JEFFERS CHAMBER MUSIC: 17 by JAMES JOYCE CHAMBER MUSIC: 18 by JAMES JOYCE THE STONE TABLE by GALWAY KINNELL ALMSWOMAN by EDMUND CHARLES BLUNDEN TO AN ENEMY by MAXWELL BODENHEIM SONNET: 10.
