MATURITY, by
First Line: I was not ready for your return
Last Line: We are one in what we are.
Subject(s): Absence; Reunions; Separation; Isolation

I was not ready for your return;
It came too soon.
My life was a thing apart from yours,
As sun to moon.

I tried to know that you were here;
But you were gone.
As bellbuoys toll on the rolling sea,
The years go on.

Yet, I shall see throughout these years
One glowing star.
Though we are apart in what we do,
We are one in what we are.
