DIVINE DRAMA, by BESS FOSTER SMITH First Line: I should like to see the heavenly light Last Line: We'll view the climax of all christendom. Subject(s): Actors & Actresses | ||||||||
I should like to see the heavenly light Across the sky -- foretold by those who knew -- A shining forth upon that certain night That had been set for Christdom's grand preview. I should have liked to gaze with shepherd, sage, Upon that heavenly drama there and find A Star that made a spotlight for a stage -- An angel chorus singing for mankind! But now I long to see the second act Of this great drama that is yet to come -- When peace on earth becomes a living fact -- We'll view the climax of all Christendom. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MOVIE STAR IN THE PROJECTION ROOM by EVE MERRIAM DO YOU WANT TO BE EXCELLENT AN ACTRESS NO NOT THAT EITHER by ALICE NOTLEY HOMAGE TO SHARON STONE (1) by LYNN EMANUEL HOMAGE TO SHARON STONE (2) by LYNN EMANUEL POST-MODERNISM by JAMES GALVIN FILM AND FLESH by CLARENCE MAJOR FOR THE CHINESE ACTRESS, GARDENIA CHANG by KENNETH REXROTH GOODNIGHT, GRACIE by LLOYD SCHWARTZ |
