LIFE-SAVING MEDAL, by
First Line: My nose is as long as a knife
Last Line: Or someone else whose name I have forgotten.
Subject(s): Surrealism

My nose is as long as a knife
and my eyes are red from laughing
At night I catch the milk that the moon pours
and I run without turning.
If the trees are afraid behind me
I scoff at them
How beautiful indifference is at midnight

Where have these young folks gone
prides of the townhalls
borough musicians
The crowd dances hurriedly
and I am only that common passerby
or someone else whose name I have forgotten.
