MY GARDEN, by BESSIE G. STEPHANY First Line: There is a garden in my heart Last Line: Will keep my garden green. Subject(s): Gardens & Gardening | ||||||||
There is a garden in my heart All filled with species rare, A baby's doll, a broken cart. A curl of golden hair. A pair of eyes of azure blue, And those dark as the night, A little lock of raven hue, Enhance my garden bright. It is watered deep with my tears, Oh, what a lovely scene! I pray that memory through the years, Will keep my garden green. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...NOVEMBER GARDEN: AN ELEGY by ANDREW HUDGINS AN ENGLISH GARDEN IN AUSTRIA (SEEN AFTER DER ROSENKAVALIER) by RANDALL JARRELL ACROSS THE BROWN RIVER by GALWAY KINNELL A DESERTED GARDEN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS NOT THE SWEET CICELY OF GERARDES HERBALL by MARGARET AVISON AN OLD GARDEN by HERBERT BASHFORD CHAMBER MUSIC: 2 by JAMES JOYCE |
