"A true philosopher!"
Glad news to tell --
Had not the gods made her
Half poet as well.

Her mind was no bisque vase --
Just kitchen ware,
Squat; yet the gods would place
Tall dream-flowers there.

Thus bent, these died. Her soul
Laughed out in her.
Half poet she was, but whole
Philosopher!
