Holy Spirit, Heavenly One, Into this heart of mine now come; Let me feel thy keeping power, Never leave me from this hour. Over life now take full sway Lead me always from this day; Help me thy true child to be, Serving Thee most faithfully. Make my pathway plain to me That I may Thy servant be; Help me Thy rich grace impart Ever to the hungry heart. Hover near when trials come Give me strength, O Holy One, To be Thine, yea, wholly Thine, Shedding forth Thy light divine. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...UNHOLY SONNET 11 by MARK JARMAN LISTEN, LORD: A PRAYER by JAMES WELDON JOHNSON A PRAYER FOR THE FUTURE by GEORGE BARLOW (1847-1913) DIFFERENT WAYS TO PRAY by NAOMI SHIHAB NYE PRAYER DURING A TIME MY SON IS HAVING SEIZURES by SHARON OLDS WE WHO PRAYED AND WEPT by WENDELL BERRY |
