You and I planned a gorgeous day, But it rained -- do you remember? And the wind blew chill and the clouds hung gray, As they will in late November; So we merely went for a walk, instead, While the gale rose high and higher, Then home, with our cheeks and noses red, To talk and dream by the fire.
