I KNOW A LITTLE TOWN, by
Last Line: Like a romping maid.
Subject(s): Towns

I know a little town,
A funny little town,
That runs uphill
And then runs down.
It starts at the river,
Runs east and west,
Then out again
To the south for a jest.

It's a whimsical little town,
This funny little town,
Both changing and fixed,
Of checkered renown.
That starts at its ending
And is fickle and staid
In its uphill and down
Like a romping maid.
