HAVE YOU SEEN THE ANGELS, by AMOS RUSSEL WELLS Poet's Biography Last Line: Every common way Subject(s): Angels | |||
Have you seen the angels Flashing from the skies? Have you seen the glimmer As they fall and rise? Where the sick and anguished Pray for swift release, Have you seen the angels Bringing joy and peace? Have you seen the angels Float in pity down Where the pallid workers Drudge in field and town? Where the worn and weary Faint at Toil's commands, Have you seen the angels Strengthening their hands? Have you seen the angels Speed in eager flight Where the fiends of evil Battle with the right? Have you seen the angels Stretch protecting arms, Fortressing God's children From those threatening harms? Oh, with eyes of seeing Note the angels near ! It will stay your worries, It will end your fear. It will show you heaven Never far away, God's bright angels treading Every common way. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MINISTERING ANGELS by EDMUND JOHN ARMSTRONG ST.
