Fill it full of fancies,
Rhymes that flit and come again
As a fairy dances.
Fill it full of merriment
Bright and bubbling over.
Charge it with the happy scent
Of the happy clover.
Joy shall fill my fountain pen
That all joy surpasses,
For it shall not write for men,
But for lads and lasses!
