First Line: The name of christ is wonderful, for wonderful he is
Last Line: No other high redeeming name wherein we must be saved.
Subject(s): Jesus Christ

The name of Christ is Wonderful, for wonderful is He:
The marvel of all marvels in earth and sky and sea.
The splendor of the ages, creation's final crown,
The Father's loving triumph and eternity's renown!

The name of Christ is Counselor, for He is ever wise,
All-fertile in His planning, all-prudent to devise,
Unfailing in His guidance, unending fount of lore--
Ah, what a royal favor such wisdom to explore!

The name of Christ is Mighty God, for He is nothing less;
No cramping limitations can His majesty express;
No bonds of time can hold Him, no fetterings of space,
Supreme in power and splendor and glorious in grace!

The Everlasting Father--oh, hail the Saviour's name!
His high co-equal deity through all the world acclaim.
With God in the creation, without Him nothing made,
And through unceasing aeons His majesty displayed!

The name of Christ is Prince of Peace, the Lord of perfect love,
The Son of Man united with the Son of God above;
God's mercy framed in human form, God's mercy sacrificed;
Our living peace, our peace with God, and our atoning Christ!

Oh, name of names, ineffable, no other name is given
Among the myriad names of earth, the myriad names of heaven;
No other name on pearly gates immutably engraved;
No other high redeeming name wherein we must be saved.
