This rhetoric indecently displays The meanness of a spirit over-prone To chant its litanies, beg God atone For poses in the cadence of self-praise, And, treasuring its poor pride, to bemoan Even frivolities in paraphrase. Is any Penitential Sacrament Effective to atone for the inept, The subtle, the indomitably adept Folly of being human? Grave of God!
