FUTILITY, by
First Line: Man is a dying lonely ghost crying
Last Line: His breast.
Subject(s): Birth; Men; Child Birth; Midwifery

Man is a dying lonely ghost crying
For rest --
For death
That begins with birth
In a darkened womb.
One breath,
And a spade of earth
On a darker tomb --
Man is a fleeting, naked thing, beating
His breast.
