OTHER SPRINGS, by
First Line: All day I've been remembering other springs
Last Line: I thanked the day for being kind to me.
Subject(s): Spring

All day I've been remembering other springs,
I caught the drifting fragrance from the face
Of early dawn, and half forgotten things
Like blue-bells, clustered near a flowing race,
And glimmering violets peeping out at me
From hidden corners through a mossy fence,
Awakened memories and I could see
The past reviewed in quiet eloquence.

As I watched the glow of other springs unfold
There passed before me meadows carpeted
With tender grass, and dandelions of gold;
And spicy mint by pools -- an emerald bed
Of water-cress. So rich a pageantry
I thanked the day for being kind to me.
