MOON-BRIGHT DREAMS by WILLIAM EDWARD ADAMS

First Line: HOW QUIET I FLOAT
Last Line: AS OUT INTO LIFE WE GO.
Subject(s): HEARTS; LOVE;

How quiet I float,
In my light-keeled boat,
From the shadows that hide the shore!
And with love at my side
Glide out on the tide
That shall turn for us nevermore.

A whispered word
And our souls are stirred
With the story that never grows old,
While a form of grace
With a beautiful face
For love's first perfect moment I hold.

While the glimmering sheen
Of the moon's bright beam
Floats down to the depths below
My heart is bright
With a purer light
As out into life we go.
