YOUR SMILE by LAURA L. ATKINS

First Line: THERE'S A SONG IN MY HEART, MY FRIEND
Last Line: BECAUSE YOU GAVE ONE TO ME.
Subject(s): GIFTS & GIVING; SINGING & SINGERS; SMILES; SONGS;

There's a song in my heart, my friend,
There's a song in my heart today;
And it sings, and it sings,
And the glad music rings
All through the live-long day.

And the song that sings in my heart
Has a joyous and sweet melody;
'Tis because your smile makes the day worth while,
And so I am giving to others a smile
Because you gave one to me.
