WISHES by H. W. BANKS

First Line: A VILLAGE CART AND A PRETTY GIRL
Last Line: THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE.
Subject(s): WISHES;

A VILLAGE cart and a pretty girl,
A ride o'er a hardened road,
A pleasant chat and a stolen kiss,
With your arm placed @3a la mode@1.

A royal day with a smiling sky,
A trim little horse to drive,
And a whispered "Yes" that makes you just
The happiest man alive.
