The mirrored dining room was filled With many tables nicely laid, And to the chairs were tied bright toy Balloons -- a host of them that spilled A scattered rainbow as they swayed And bubbled upward light as joy. All through the meal we diners toyed With them, and afterward when we Were leaving, quite by chance I turned And saw a few left undestroyed Still tugging at their moorings three Unleashed against the ceiling burned.
