EACH FLEETING DAY by CHARLOTTE LOUISE BERTLESEN

First Line: THESE TO REJOICE IN: A SMILE
Last Line: ENRICH OUR LIVES EACH FLEETING DAY.
Subject(s): BABIES; MANKIND; INFANTS; HUMAN RACE;

These to rejoice in: a smile;
A wee babe's laugh; a task worth while;
The lifted look; the clasp of hands;
The tie that holds in loving bands
All humankind; the path once trod
That proves the fatherhood of God;
Release from pain; the ease of tears;
A faith that sees beyond the years.
With these—and more—dear Lord, we pray,
Enrich our lives each fleeting day.
