A SKIER by ARTHUR STANLEY BOURINOT

First Line: WIND-BLOWN HAIR ABOUT YOUR FACE
Last Line: YOU VANISHED IN A SWIRL OF SNOW.
Subject(s): SKIING;

Wind-blown hair about your face,
Diana of the skiing chase,
Up the hill you come to me
Lithe of limb and laughingly;
Deep blue sky above your head,
Deep white snow for you to tread;
Red as sumacs by the trail
Shone your lips without avail.
Up the hill you came to me
Rising from a snowy sea,
Up the hill you came, then, lo!
You vanished in a swirl of snow.
