SONG by WILLIAM STANLEY BRAITHWAITE

First Line: OVER THE LONG, THE WIDE DARK SEAS
Last Line: FAR FROM THE SHORE -- YEA FAR!
Subject(s): DREAMS; SEA; LOVE; NIGHTMARES; OCEAN;

OVER the long, the wide dark seas,
Wandering, goes my dream,
Borne on winnowings of the breeze
High as the heavens seem.
And O, dear love, where the waters foam
Further than pulsing star,
Wandering still my old dreams roam
Far from the shore -- yea far!
