TAKE YOUR CHOICE: NICHOLAS VACHEL LINDSAY WOULD SPEAK ... THIS MANNER by BERTON BRALEY

First Line: CLANG GO THE CYMBALS, BONG GOES THE GONG
Last Line: AND THERE'S AN END TO MY LITTLE GIRL SONG!
Subject(s): GIRLS; LINDSAY, VACHEL (1879-1931);

Clang go the cymbals, bong goes the gong,
Bum goes the drum as I sing my song,
Song of the girl who was good, good, good
With a curl peeping out from her woolen hood.
Bing and a bung and a bim, bim, bim
She was as good as a seraphim;
But when she was bad, so the neighbors tell,
She was wicked to a fare-you-well!
Clang go the cymbals, bong goes the gong,
And there's an end to my little girl song!
