DAWN by NORBERT BRINKHAUS

First Line: THE MIGHTY SURGE OF DAWN DISPORTS
Last Line: ARE HIS WITH EYES TO SEE.
Subject(s): DAWN; SUNRISE;

The mighty surge of dawn disports
A power all can feel;
Carmine and grey festoon her courts
The sun, a copper wheel!

From out my hilltop rendezvous
I view the fields refreshed
Emerging from their jeweled dew
In gossamer enmeshed.

The beauty snared is my domain
Though not owner-in-fee;
The lazy river, rolling plain
Are his with eyes to see.
