ON HIS ENGAGEMENT TO BE MARRIED by CHARLES WILLIAM BRODRIBB

First Line: HARK! THE CLOCK STRIKES AND FINISHES THE CYCLE
Last Line: — U U — —'S.
Subject(s): FAREWELL; MARRIAGE; PARTING; WEDDINGS; HUSBANDS; WIVES;

Hark! the clock strikes and finishes the cycle.
Farewell, old buildings set about the garden
Where the last sunset glimmer of the eighteenth
Century lingers.

Farewell. I mourn not. Similar the issue
Be to all here who tarry on probation,
Be to all, I say, such a hand to take as
— u u — —'s.
