TIS MOONLIGHT, SUMMER MOONLIGHT by EMILY JANE BRONTE

Poet Analysis

Subject(s): NATURE;

'Tis moonlight, summer moonlight,
āàAll soft, and still, and fair;
The silent time of midnight
āàShines sweetly everywhere.

But most where trees are sending
āàTheir breezy boughs on high,
Or stooping low are lending
āàA shelter from the sky.

And there in those wild bowers
āàA lovely form is laid,
Green grass and dew-steeped flowers
āàWave gently round her head.
