A PRAYER by CLARENCE M. BURKHOLDER

First Line: LORD, LET NOT MY RELIGION BE
Last Line: AND NEIGHBOR UNTO EVERY MAN.
Subject(s): BROTHERHOOD; GOOD SAMARITAN; PRAYER;

Lord, let not my religion be
A thing of selfish ecstasy;
But something warm with tender care
And fellowship which I can share.
Let me not walk the other side
Of trouble's highway long and wide;
Make me a Good Samaritan,
And neighbor unto every man.
