STREAMLINERA: SKYSCRAPER-ELEVATOR by PAULINE JONES BURNS

First Line: A GREAT METALLIC BIRD IN SUDDEN FLIGHT
Last Line: HE SNATCHES UP A FEW REMAINING CRUMBS.
Subject(s): ELEVATORS; SKYSCRAPERS;

A great metallic bird in sudden flight,
Is clearing endless levels to reach a tower
Of block and stone. He perches there to sight
A luring bit of prey he could devour --
Then swooping down he soars triumphant, comes
Again, and whizzing by with latent power,
He snatches up a few remaining crumbs.
