MINE ears have caught some melody of winds, Some far-off echo of the flutes of dawn, Stirring, all tremulous, the leafy blinds, With faint gold music, dying and withdrawn. Mine eyes have seen the sun, for mile on mile, Touch with a torch of rose the mountain ways; And watched at dusk down darkening forest aisles The quiet mysterious going of the days.
