NOSTALGIA by RICHARD EUGENE BURTON

First Line: ALL THROUGH THEIR LIVES MEN BUILD OR DREAM THEM HOMES
Last Line: DEEMING IT, MORE THAN MORTAL HOMES ARE, BLEST.
Subject(s): DESIRE; HEAVEN; HOME; NOSTALGIA; PEACE; PARADISE;

ALL through their lives men build or dream them homes,
Longing for peace and quiet and household love;
All through their lives -- though offering hecatombs
To worldly pleasures and the shows thereof.

And at the last, life-sick, with still the same
Unconquerable desire within their breast,
They yearn for heaven and murmur its dear name,
Deeming it, more than mortal homes are, blest.
