EPIGRAM by JOHN BYROM

Poet Analysis

First Line: SET NOT THE FAULTS OF OTHER FOLKS IN VIEW
Last Line: WILL TEND BUT LITTLE TO REFORM THY OWN.
Subject(s): SELF;

SET not the faults of other folks in view,
But rather mind what thou thyself shouldst do;
For, twenty errors of thy neighbour known
Will tend but little to reform thy own.
