EPIGRAM by JOHN BYROM

Poet Analysis

First Line: BUT SMALL THE DIFF'RENCE, IF TERTULLIAN'S RIGHT
Last Line: "BUT SOMEWHAT SOONER WICKED THAN HIS BROTHER."

BUT small the diff'rence, if Tertullian's right,
To do an injury, or to requite;
"He is," said he, "who does it to the other,
"But somewhat sooner wicked than his brother."
