ON THE NATURALIZATION BILL (2) by JOHN BYROM

Poet Analysis

First Line: WITH LANGUAGES DISPERS'D, MEN WERE NOT ABLE
Last Line: HOW HIGH A CASTLE MAY BE BUILT IN AIR!
Subject(s): IMMIGRANTS; EMIGRANT; EMIGRATION; IMMIGRATION;

WITH languages dispers'd, men were not able
To top the skies, and build the tow'r of Babel;
But if to Britain they shall cross the main,
And meet by @3act of parliament@1 again,
Who knows, when all together shall repair,
How high a castle may be built in air!
