SUMMER - THE NUN by ANN CHAMBERS

First Line: SUMMER -
Last Line: SHE HAS GONE FROM OUT OUR VISION.
Subject(s): NUNS; SUMMER;

Summer --
Like a nun has shaved her tresses,
Changed her green and golden dresses
For the dull, dark, sheenless clothes
With which cold, sleek winter robes.

Summer --
By her convent the whole world passes,
She has donned sackcloth and ashes.
As a nun goes to seclusion,
She has gone from out our vision.
