TO A SUCCESSFUL PERSON by MAUD CHEGWIDDEN

First Line: SO MANY LITTLE THINGS I LOVE
Last Line: ONE, UPON A TREE.
Subject(s): SUCCESS;

So many little things I love
That you, unseeing, would pass by --
Forget-me-nots, like heavenly lace
Fallen from the sky;
A ladybird upon a stem,
A dewdrop's winking eye.

And other things that you would scorn,
I, poor fool, cherish jealously --
The will to give more than I get;
Moments on bended knee;
And anguish for a Crucified
One, upon a tree.
