FIRE FOR THE ALIEN by LAURA VEACH CLARK

First Line: WHITE BUILDINGS CAP THE BROWN HILLS
Last Line: AND CHEERS THE ALIEN GUEST.
Subject(s): SUN;

White buildings cap the brown hills,
Reflecting the glitter of the noonday sun
Which gleams above the blue waters of the bay.
Banked against the bleak white walls,
The fire of giant red geraniums warms the chill air
And cheers the alien guest.
