A FLAKE OF FOAM by LAVINIA R. CLARK

First Line: IN THE SEETHING FOAM I AM TOSSED ON THE HEIGHT OF THE WAVES
Last Line: OH! THE TURQUOISE SKY THAT I LOVE!
Subject(s): BUBBLES; SEA; WATER; OCEAN;

In the seething foam I am tossed on the height of the waves.
The sea is grey and dark, rising in great swells,
Spray is tossed in the cutting wind,
A flake of foam am I.
I feel the depth of the sea under me
And am part of it—
Part of the might of the troubled grey ocean,
Soon to flash deep blue in the sun.
Oh! the turquoise sky that I love!
