SECOND MARRIAGE by EMMA RIGBY COLEMAN

First Line: I DID NOT THINK THAT LOVE WOULD COME TO ME AGAIN
Last Line: THIS CALM FULFILLMENT OF MY EARLY DREAMS.
Subject(s): MARRIAGE; WEDDINGS; HUSBANDS; WIVES;

I did not think that love would come to me again,
For he whose name I bore for many years was kind,
And fine and brave as any man could be.
Now you have come and urge me on to heights
I never sought before. I ponder thoughtfully
The happiness of other days and weigh
The ecstasy of that first love against
This calm fulfillment of my early dreams.
