IN AND OUT OF SEASON by MABEL HAUGHTON COLLYER

First Line: OH, SING ME IN DECEMBER / A SONG OF HAZY JUNE
Last Line: BENEATH A BALMY SKY!
Subject(s): SEASONS;

Oh, sing me in December
A song of hazy June,
And bring to winter rounds of glee
A hint of summer moon;
And in the balmy Junetime,
Oh, sing to me of snow --
Of ice-bound stream and shining skate --
Of winds that wail and blow.

But love me in December
As loved the knights of old;
For chilling are the icy blasts,
And all the world seems cold!
And jilt me in the Junetime,
If jilt you must -- for I
Can warm my little brooding heart
Beneath a balmy sky!
