QUIET by HELEN AMANDA CORLETT

First Line: DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE RAINBOW ENDS?
Last Line: AND THERE I FOUND THE POT OF GOLD.
Subject(s): RAINBOWS; SILENCE;

Do you know where the rainbow ends?
In an hour, now fled, I followed the rainbow,
It fell into a cool running stream,
Where darting fish took on its color hues,
And there I saw the rainbow end.

Then I looked for the pot of gold,
Way down deep, where the eddies swirl,
A light shone forth, bright and dazzling,
A brassy-yellow from a sunfish gleamed,
And there I found the pot of gold.
