DREAMERS, BEWARE by ANNETTE PATTON CORNELL

First Line: WEBS OF ILLUSION ARE SPUN FOR THE HEEDLESS
Last Line: WEBS OF ILLUSION ARE STRONGER THAN DEATH!
Subject(s): HALLUCINATIONS & ILLUSIONS;

Webs of illusion are spun for the heedless:
those who walk lightly, too bold and too gay;
those who go visioning far constellations,
scornful of dust and too sure of the way.

Webs of illusion are jeweled for beauty,
silken with magic; but futile the heel
winged for the going, ensnared the star blinded --
webs of illusion are stronger than steel.

Fragile and cruel strands binding the dreamers,
enmeshed the deeper with each sobbing breath,
wounded by facets and lost to the Heavens --
webs of illusion are stronger than death!
