THOUGHTS OF YOU by ELIZABETH KING COWGILL

First Line: HOW STRANGE THAT THOUGHTS OF YOU
Last Line: AT MENTION OF YOUR NAME!
Subject(s): MEMORY;

How strange that thoughts of you
Wake memories grown cold
Which bud with hope again,
Burst into bloom once more
Like Aaron's rod of old --
At mention of your name!
How strange that thoughts of you
Come back across the years
And pierce with Love's old pain
Within its sacred shrine,
Hidden too deep for tears --
At mention of your name!
