HONEY BOY by BILLIE MARIE CRABB

First Line: LIKE MOUNTAIN HONEY, RICHLY RED
Last Line: AND THUS HIS DEBT TO LIFE REPAYS.
Subject(s): BOYS;

Like mountain honey, richly red
From tip of tail to regal head,
A thing of beauty, and a joy
Forever, is my Honey Boy.

Akin to lilies of the field
Who neither toil nor spin, yet yield
Their fragrant beauty to the earth;
And, yielding, justify their birth.

He lives his life of silken ease,
And strives none but himself to please;
Yet walks in beauty all his days,
And thus his debt to life repays.
