THE PARK by ALAN CREIGHTON

First Line: HERE WE HAVE LIFE WITH SUNLIT HAIR
Last Line: BEYOND THE GRASS, BEYOND THE LEAVES.
Subject(s): PARKS;

Here we have life with sunlit hair
Of languid women, slender-chinned,
Who smile and easily watch a flare
Of children rolled with bounce of wind.
The sky brings random whiffs that jar
Unordered petals, filmy sleeves,
While all mechanic sound is far
Beyond the grass, beyond the leaves.
