MAN by WILLIAM HENRY DAVIES

Poet Analysis

First Line: COME, LET US MEASURE
Last Line: LIKE SOME LOST LITTLE ONE.

Come, let us measure
The greatness of Man;
The marvellous things on earth
Conceived and done.

He who would measure
How little is Man,
Must cry himself to sleep,
Like some lost Little One.
