SEE HOW THE GLOW-WORM'S LIGHT by WILLIAM HENRY DAVIES

Poet Analysis

First Line: SEE HOW THE GLOW-WORM'S LIGHT IS FOUND
Last Line: THE KNOWLEDGE THAT IS IN A KISS.
Subject(s): FIDELITY; FIREFLIES; FAITHFULNESS; CONSTANCY; GLOWWORMS;

See how the glow-worm's light is found
To shine upon a nameless mound:
So, though my lover's life is false,
In being true to none,
And, like that worm's, his beauty shines
Upon a past unknown;
Yet still I ask no more than this --
The knowledge that is in a kiss.
