FOR A YOUNG AVIATOR by MARY FERRELL DICKINSON

First Line: LORD, GUIDE HIM SAFELY THROUGH THE SKY!
Last Line: LORD, GUIDE HIM SURELY THROUGH THE SKY!
Subject(s): AVIATION & AVIATORS; AIRPLANES; AIR PILOTS;

Lord, guide him safely through the sky!
He is so warm and young to die;
His spirit like an eager flame
Reaches out beyond the tame
Dull haunts of men, and on the wing
He pioneers dawn, and the slow, sure swing
Of starry cycles. As suns wheel by,
Lord, guide him surely through the sky!
