HAIL! - AND FAREWELL! by WILLIAM ARTHUR DUNKERLEY

First Line: THEY DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE
Last Line: THAT WE MIGHT LIVE!
Subject(s): COURAGE; RELIGION; WAR; VALOR; BRAVERY; THEOLOGY;

They died that we might live, --
@3Hail! -- And Farewell!@1
-- All honour give
To those who, nobly striving, nobly fell,
That we might live!

That we might live they died, --
@3Hail! -- And Farewell!@1
-- Their courage tried,
By every mean device of treacherous hate,
Like Kings they died.

Eternal honour give, --
@3Hail! -- And Farewell!@1
-- To those who died,
In that full splendour of heroic pride,
That we might live!
